Fabian Barracks serves the City of Worcester Massachusetts as their Cultural Development Officer and he also leads the Worcester Cultural Coalition as their Executive Director. Coming to the United States in December 2021, Fabian is known in Jamaica as a prolific, award-winning playwright, director and producer who has written and produced eleven national commercial theater productions and local TV series. 

Being dedicated to serving vulnerable groups, Barracks has spent over four years as a Program Coordinator with Jamaica’s Ministry of Health where he headed a team of outreach workers across the island that provide sexual and reproductive health services to key populations including those most at risk of contracting HIV/STI. He has worked collectively to secure funding for Jamaica’s healthcare programs through CDC, USAID and Global Fund by developing creative strategies in reaching underserved populations that are at the center of the HIV epidemic.
